The sun is shining and the humidity is making it hot and sticky. Butterflies, dragonflies and spiders are busy. The spider in the window is sucking a small fly or wasp. Both cabbage and sulphur butterflies are around, along with that orange one I think may be a fritillary. The cardinals, finches, chickadees and titmice have been joined on the feeder by a genius among blue jays. This jay has figured out that by landing lightly on the side of the feeder it can avoid tripping the counterweight.Doves are rummaging on the ground and mallards keep trying to use the pool. A pair of geese escorted four goslings upstream. While the sun heated things up, thin clouds dulled the sky.
