It looks like a repeat of yesterday. Finches and chickadees were up before me. A hard rain began around 8am and only lasted about 20 minutes.The day continued gloomy with spatters of rain. Lantana and gardenia are blooming, as is the magnolia. The gladiolas are a bright spot though something snapped a second flower spike. The lavender is attracting pollinators.
Tufted titmice, chickadees, and cardinals came to the feeder while we were having lunch. In the afternoon a cabbage butterfly visited ever lavender floweret.
The sun peeked through cumulus mountains in the late afternoon and rain started not long after. The evening was very wet.
