Still warm

A wren was working on the suet when I came out to the kitchen.  Sparrows, warblers, and the regulars soon appeared.  Buffleheads were out on the creek.

The day got very warm.  Downy woodpeckers came for lunch.  The butterbutt kept running off a poor titmouse.  The titmouse thought about trying an oriole orange, but no.  Then the female red bellied woodpecker showed up and the warbler was sidelined.

Late in the afternoon, a lacewing landed on the window but flew before I could get it in focus.  Lots of other bugs were flying all day.  Clouds began to roll in from the Northwest at sunset.
