I glimpsed a hoodie at breakfast, then I was busy till a late lunch. Someday I want to walk around the grounds of the Larchmont Library. The sign says it's called Birdsong Wetlands.
When I got home the birds were sparse. Red breasted nuthatches and downy woodpeckers joined house finches and chickadees on the feeders. The male oriole let me know the mealworms needed to be replenished. A Carolina wren showed up after I had done so.
The creek was mostly calm as some female hoodies paddled by. Later I saw a cormorant fishing. While the sky visible from the window was clear, clouds in the South blocked the sunlight frequently.
