Since 1/1/11 I have been describing what I see in the back yard. I occasionally digress.

No suet
Bluebirds, blue jays, and cardinals were appreciative of the barkbutter balls. A female red bellied woodpecker was in disbelief that her suet had turned into a useless hummer feeder. Finally she settled for a barkbutter ball. We tried to have lunch outside but the sun drove us into the house. The old bi-color daylily put out a flower, making four kinds in bloom. I rescued a leatherwing beetle but a big ground beetle was dead. A blue dasher used the perch outside my window.
