Warm sun

I saw a dragonfly while I was out and two buckeye butterflies worked on the herb flowers all afternoon.  One caterpillar was visible but the Argiope disappeared, maybe because of the leaf blower.  Two colors of morning glory bloomed, but I didn't see any pollinators.  The milkweed was neglected too.  A yellow jacket got into the empty sausage wrapper and had to be released.

K dumped the old sunflower seeds that were infested with moths.  She cleaned the feeder and the seed buckets.  We will see if that brings more birds.  I could see unidentified flying organisms flitting through the trees.

The moon at sunset seemed no wider than a curved line.  It was accompanied by Saturn and, a bit further off, Venus.  The air stayed warm and crickets serenaded.
