At breakfast I saw the hummer perched in the dogwood on a dead twig. The light was not bright enough for a good picture. It was foggy all the way to Richmond. Swallows were flying and chattering over the parking area at the conference center. I saw a mockingbird as I was leaving. While stuck in the tunnel back-up, I saw more swallows, then a common tern among the gulls. I glimpsed the hummer getting one last drink when I got home.
