Since 1/1/11 I have been describing what I see in the back yard. I occasionally digress.

Blue sky election day
After a chilly night the temperature quickly climbed. We ran around to polling places with political signs. When we got home at lunch time, titmice and the red breasted nuthatch were competing with the chickadees for sunflower seeds. They did not return after my hands were free. In the afternoon, K planted the asters and ironweed. I need a suitable pot for the clematis. I picked up the branches Zeta blew down. The slime mold fungus was progressing nicely. The beauty berries had lost some of their beauty to the chill. The peppers were nearly ripe.
