Gray

A bright note on a gloomy day was a hibiscus flower.  Titmice and hummers and, of course, the daily trio of chickadees, house finches, and cardinals visited the feeders.  Both hummers and titmice chased rivals.

I found two frogs again but this time one was dead.  I put a wet leaf over the other on and it just sat there on the concrete.  It was like the "thundershirt" for dogs.

Even the dragonfly looked colorless.  I glimpsed a tiger swallowtail and saw quite a bit of a black swallowtail.  A very young skink decided to scoot under my chair.  The overcast finally turned to rain after dark.
